That user an Outlaw really liked this, but I haven't seen him post here in a long time. Maybe this will bring him back. _________________ http://jonnyleather.com

This is actually my favourite Manics album. Sure, it's bloated and uneven, but it's passionate as fuck and it houses some absolutely killer tracks. I'm not sure there exists a better power rock anthem than 'Motorcycle Emptiness'. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.

Last I heard he was out roaming the west trying to find a better life for his wife Jeannie Mae and their boy Richey, ranching, raising cattle and living free.
That or he sleeps in the storm drains drowning his sorrows in cheap whiskey, I don't remember. _________________ Progressive Rock

This album has its moments, but it's frustratingly inconsistent. Motorcycle Emptiness was what got me into the band, though, so I'll always love it for that. I just like so much of their other stuff more.

A good album - could have been great if they'd cut about 5 tracks from it.

By far their greatest achievement. Before they got caught up in their own pretensions too much.

Besides Motorcycle Emptiness being good there's also Little Baby Nothing and the non-album single from the same year "Theme From M.A.S.H. (Suicide Is Painless)" are the best. Not a fan of the other songs skip right ahead to The Holy Bible and Everything Must Go after those singles.
