This was the album where they tried to go in a more serious direction. I don't like it as much as the previous two but there are some good songs and it does show growth from them. It's good enough.

Just listened to this last night for the first time in like a month, it's a seriously great album. I could do without the "Stockholm Syndrome Interlude" - seriously that spoken word adds NOTHING - but really just great, surprised to see such low ratings here. Robert Smith's track on there's really cool, and there's such a variety of songs here, it really is great. _________________

Just like Green Day I prefer when they stick to juvenile songs about being bored and high school relationships.Thata not to say that this is completely terrible like say Angels and Airwaves.

The first half of this album is far superior to the second half of the album.
