The title track is one of my least favourite songs. I really fucking hate that song. The rest is a mixed bag, occasionally brilliant ('The Only Living Boy in New York'), occasionally irritating ('Cecilia'), but if it weren't for the fact that we can skip tracks then I'd never even make it far enough to find out.

When songs like Keep the Customer Satisfied and Baby Driver are the filler...wow.

An incredible album from one of the best bands to ever exist.

I can see how someone might not like the title track, it is pretty different for S&G with the big orchestra and everything, but I love it and Art Garfunkel's voice is beautiful, especially on that track.

This has some of S&G's best stuff, "Cecilia", "El Condor Pasa", "The Boxer", "Song For The Asking", "Bye Bye Love" it's fantastic.

Dang, I agree perfectly with this one, too.

Good thread.

I don't like this one as much as Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme or Bookends, but still rather wonderful. Will agree with the others who said they don't care for the title track.

I think it's lovely. Cecilia is one of the my favorite song characters of all time (and also the name of my daughter, not coincidentally). The album as a whole is a bit saccharine, so I understand why it's unpopular here, but I won't pretend it's not still a favorite.

Well aren't we all divided about this album?

I frankly happen to agree with th above. Fantastic work. If this isn't creative, catchy, and fun music then honestly what is?
