My Favorite Things by John Coltrane

I sometimes pretend to like Meditations more, but I'm just kidding myself: This is the best sole album Coltrane ever did, and one of the greatest jazz albums ever made.

Absolute classic. The Quartet (Coltrane, Garrison, Tyner, Jones) could do no wrong.

The title track was the first Coltrane track I'd ever heard and to this day I acknowledge it as a high point in the jazz world. A Love Supreme is my favorite Coltrane album though, as for my money it's the greatest jazz album ever made. But this album is no joke either.

How did John Coltrane even get that good, man..
