It's pretty fun. I like it. I don't know why I don't consider it an absolute classic, because it has all the ingredients.

Never been huge on Clapton. But this record has some essential stuff on it. The guitar work on the title track is gorgeous. _________________ Attention all planets of the solar federation: We have assumed control.

A lot of emotion in this one. A high point for Clapton...and Duane Allman as well.

Not if you count anything he did with Cream. _________________ http://jonnyleather.com

Yeah. I don't know what came over me when I wrote that. I totally take it back. I'll take anything he did in the 60s over it. Fir instance, that Bluesbreakers album is more my style too.
I did have a one month love affair with this album this past winter but just but it on and the love affair has passed. *sigh*

I take pride in the fact that I started feeling nauseous every time I heard Layla even before I knew what kind of a person Clapton is. _________________ "I feel like for the last two years there’s been sort of a sonic evolution happening and I’ve been experimenting more and more."
