I wasn't at all shocked when I found out, but sad nonetheless. STP was one of my favorite bands
as a teenager. I still think Core and Purple are damn good albums.

Theres so many good songs on those first 2 albums. And the fact they all sound just as good or even better in acoustic versions, is a real testament to the song writing abilities of the DeLeo brothers, and Weiland's ability to convey emotion with conviction. A sad day for alternative rock music.
