I went looking for our earlier chat about this subject here only to find that it was eventually closed up, so I am getting a new one going if that is okay. The earlier one is from three years ago anyways and it went on for pages, so here is a new one for us to share the awesome closing songs that we have run across since then. Here are the ones that I have found. 😄 😄 😄

This is one of the best songs that I have ever heard. Period.

For some reason these songs come to mind, not saying they are the best, but I love U2 because I think they are great album makers. Best artists ever, no. Should they have broken up a long time ago, probably. But they make cohesive albums with good ending songs.

This solumn song at the end of the Joshua Tree:

The explosion of emotion from Bono and The Edge that then translate into a beautiful string arrangement always gives me an eargasm on this outro at the end of Rattle and Hum:

Ending of Zooropa with Johnny Cash:

Great show closer (always thought it cool Edge and Adam switched instruments, and the tease Larry does at the end with drums), but also album ender for War:

Melodic beauty at the end of All That You Can't Leave Behind:

Edge's solo at about 2:20 reminds me of crying and then later guitar work blows mind. This song is just beautiful:

I have a hard time liking this one... it's my least favorite track on the album. Tell me more :).
