What are your favorite 3 consecutive releases by a single artist or group? (Not including EPs or Compilations)

Here's what first came to mind..

A Tribe Called Quest (1990-1993)

The Roots (1995-1999)

Kendrick Lamar (2011-2015)

I stayed to hip hop albums but I'm curious to see some other genres greatest strings of albums as well.

God bless you and his family always!!! ๐Ÿ˜„ ๐Ÿ˜„ ๐Ÿ˜„

Holly

P.S. To me, The Royal Treatment is most definitely the best of the three. ๐Ÿ˜„ ๐Ÿ˜„ ๐Ÿ˜„

(the Oktember EP is also incredible and falls right in here chronologically and stylistically)

The Shadow Ring

Hold Onto I.D. by The Shadow Ring

Lighthouse by The Shadow Ring

Lindus by The Shadow Ring

(I'm Some Songs is also excellent)

Achtung Baby by U2

Zooropa by U2

Side project:

Original Soundtracks 1 by Passengers

But if the rules are studio releases or whatever:

Pop by U2

I know U2 started to be hated during this time period (well maybe started is the wrong word, people probably started hating them with Rattle and Hum), but I actually really love the textures and feel of these albums that the Edge and Eno build. Of course the Rhythm section/vocals ain't too shabby either.

Two sets for the Beatles, also probably breaking the rules for the movie soundtrack being omitted:

1st:

Revolver by The Beatles

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band by The Beatles

Magical Mystery Tour by The Beatles

2nd:

The Beatles (The White Album) by The Beatles

Abbey Road by The Beatles

Let It Be by The Beatles

Green by R.E.M.

Out Of Time by R.E.M.

Automatic For The People by R.E.M.

Really hard to separate these, so either the first three or last three:

Beggars Banquet by The Rolling Stones

Let It Bleed by The Rolling Stones

Sticky Fingers by The Rolling Stones

Exile On Main St. by The Rolling Stones

I'd go Automatic, Monster, Hi-Fi, but y'all know me.

I dig that too and pending my mood I'd like it better... I wanted to also try their last three efforts, but there's too much of Around the Sun I don't like.
