If you look at an album page you can see which next album is highly ranked by the artist instead of going back to artist page. Artist page is helpful too... but sometimes it's nice just to have it all in front of you.
Also if you want to see the songs on the album you can go to album page, see the songs and simply click the next button for the next album... basically browsing an artists best albums while simultaneously seeing the track lists.
