Cliche as it may be after all those movie appearances, "Tighten Up" is still the best thing the Keys ever did, and one of the best songs of the early 2010s.

I had approximately zero idea that people really thought The Black Keys were that great. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.

The Black Keys in general aren't that great, but this album really is that great. _________________ Overall - The 2010's - 2020

I kinda feel that the Black Keys just stuck around long enough to finally get their turn in the spotlight. In 2010 the Stripes, Strokes, Yeah Yeah Yeah's, Walkmen, etc...had receded from the main stage, and the Keys were left to perform that last gasp of the early 2000s Rock revival. They weren't the best in their scene, but they were the last men standing. Good for them.

I saw these guys live once. or at least that's what I'm told. Legitimately cannot remember a single note they played, and I wasn't even that stoned

I don't think they're that great either and I don't understand the passion for this band. I find Brothers and El Camino good, not great (I prefer El Camino). Not what I'd ever consider overall chart-worthy. But to each their own.

This is exactly where I'm at with the Black Keys. I love a few songs from this record like Tighten Up and Howlin' For You but a lot of it is very average for me. _________________ Attention all planets of the solar federation: We have assumed control.

Love The Black Keys and I would say this is their best album, though it's close. It's the perfect balance between the grittiness of their earlier stuff and accessibility of their more recent stuff. _________________ Progressive Rock

Man you probably missed a great show then, because I saw them live at Virgin FreeFest right after this album came out and they killed it. One of the best bands I've seen live. _________________ Progressive Rock
