Some of these songs are the bee's knees. I love The Night Before, Another Girl, Ticket To Ride. Not their best album, but it was made at a time where they had one of their best sounds together as a band.

A really nice bridge between their pop-rock era and their more progressive, experimental period. Ticket To Ride is da bomb. Also, the covers on this album are ace. Act Naturally and Dizzy Miss Lizzy add some levity thata balances out weightier tracks like Yesterday. _________________ 100 Punk Favourites

Looking back, "Ticket to Ride" is pretty sexist (a point which almost seems commented upon by the Vanilla Fudge cover), but that doesn't stop this from being pretty fun.

I used to listen to this in the 70s, my cousin left me her copy when she married and moved to Australia; a cracking album.
The fact that it is only rated 8th best Beatles album on here illustrates clearly what quality albums that band made.

Act Naturally might be my least favorite Ringo song. Everything else here is pretty good though. Definite progress shown from the album before which I'm not crazy about at all. _________________ Attention all planets of the solar federation: We have assumed control.

Other than Yesterday, the second half of Help! is nothing special. But the first half is among my all-time favorite Side A's. Help, Night Before, You're Gonna Lose That Girl, You've Got to Hide Your Love Away, etc...Beatles at their very best. I probably have Help! higher on my chart than it deserves, but those tracks are simply too good.
