This album sounds so heavy, I just can't warm to it. Even if there are tons of good songs on it songwriting-wise.

It can be heavier at times, a favorite track of mine is definitely "Cornerstone," it is one of my favorite tracks from the band as a whole. Is Suck It and See or AM more the Arctic Monkey's you prefer? Those are definitely their albums that are less "heavy." I would definitely give this album a 7.5/10, the users have this rating right.

Yes I also love 'Cornerstone', really good songwriting and lyrics.

I really liked 'AM', though it can't beat their debut album, and 'Favourite Worst Nightmare' is also slightly better then that, but it is a great album.

Suck it and See is probably their weakest album, but I used to listen it pretty much, because there are some simple, but irrestistingly catchy tunes on it which have so positive vibes about them. I liked it but it is good that they haven't done a Suck it and See version 2.0 album after that. I liked that they changed their sound from album to album, and this album is also one little part of their career.
