Even though the first two songs are the best on here, Calm Like A Bomb, Maria, and Sleep Now In The Fire are some really great RATM songs too.

haha, I do like Maria and Calm like a bomb is still good, But In the joke I meant that the album goes pretty weak and inconsistent after the first two songs.

I don't know if I'll ever understand why people often like this more than the debut.

I used to be status quo on this too (first two only worth the time, well technically 1, 2 and 5).

But then I listened to more than 3 times and actually really fell in love with:
Calm Like A Bomb
Mic Check (really cool sonic world, not the same old same old for them)
Sleep Now In The Fire... this is easily one of the best RATM songs... WTF!?!?!?!
Born of A Broken Man - also one of my favorites on this record and really like the "new" sound they went after here... of course it's really not that new, but for them to try and not only do hard riff rock is a nice break.

From here... meh, I agree isn't amazing. Voice of the Voiceless is probably the only other song worth the time.

I do agree though this is the second best RATM album (close 2nd to Renegades).

Having said that, I can't help but say this is the beginning of Rage falling apart... there's some kind of searching for something different and I don't know if they were all on the same page.

Funnily enough my 7th grade History Teacher as well as my 10th grade German teacher (same guy) says BOLA is his favorite Rage record. I see why, it's a very good album, the debut however is just too good.
