I thought it would be interesting to see everyone's favorite albums that may not be seen on many charts. It's always great to have these albums that not many listen to, but it was a diamond in the rough for you.

(Dont Put A Moon Shaped Pool, that will be in the overall 1000 in a months--same with Blackstar)

Sleep by Flatsound

Genre: Lo-Fi Indie, Ambient, Drone
My Rank: 5
Overall Rank: 8927
Absolutely adore this album. Many of his records aren't even on besteveralbums which is a shame.
More people need to listen to this record. Especially if you are emo and super angsty. It has only 3 votes on here.

I'm fairly sure this thread already exists elsewhere, just wanted to say Flatsound rules but that this isn't even his best. His EP got a little less press but is far more impressive imo:

Link

Super personal and intimate. Pressed on vinyl with another EP of Mitch's as the B-side (OK it's a double A but in my head the B-side) on what may be my most gorgeous record:

and he threw in a signed business card and little thanks note. Seems like a great dude, I'm gonna go stalk through your chats since you like him.

For me, my favorite outside of the top 1000 is

Foiled by Blue October

Genre: idk man Rock I guess maybe Alternative Rock
My Rank: 6
Overall Rank: 3435

That being said, my most underrated would be:

Fist Benders by Fist Benders

Genre: Twinkly Emo
My Rank: IDK everything after about 55 is going through some changes but somewhere in my top 80
Overall Rank: not on the site until I just added it just now

Don't really care about the overall top 1000 anymore, although there are many albums that I still need to check in there. As for my favorite Album not in overall

Lesser Matters by The Radio Dept.
Beautifully and softly crafted Dream-Pop record from Sweden, and some pints of Shoegaze to make it more dreamier.

-Overall Rank: 2,189
-My Rank: 1

Naveed by Our Lady Peace

Most people prefer Clumsy or, to a lesser extent, Spiritual Machines. And my cousin seems to prefer Happiness... Is Not A Fish That You Can Catch. But for me, Naveed is definitely Our Lady Peace's magnum opus. Released in 1994, this alternative rock album somehow managed to sound like a transition between the grunge of Nirvana's Nevermind (1991) and the electronic rock of Radiohead's OK Computer (1997).

Unfortunately, like so many other great Canadian rock albums of the 1990s, Naveed had no international success. It wasn't even released in the United States until one year later. If a band like Pearl Jam had recorded an album like this, it probably would have had multi-platinum success, and it would probably appear on a lot more "Best Of..." lists.

Great pick. I believe it was LadyGodiva who introduced me to Radio Dept. Wonderful fuckin music. Pet Grief is also very good.

As for me, I expect Skeleton Tree will wind up well within the top 1000 come January, so that makes it:
