I have been getting right into this site of late but am frustrated that pop-up ads are sabotaging my use of it whilst using mobile data. Wifi hasn't been a problem but as soon as I am out of range and data takes over, the ads start appearing and I have to close the page altogether. Is this something that you can rectify from your end?

Cheers.

Nothing has been added to the site lately that would affect the type of ads that are displayed (the ads haven't been modified for at least a year). Somebody reported a problem a while back with ads popping up on an iPhone and it turned out to be malware on the local device. If it happens again, please let me know which ads are being displayed and I'll investigate to see where the problem might lie but I'm pretty certain that BEA wouldn't be delivering them.

Thanks for the reply.

The reason I ask is because it seems to only be occurring when using this site and not others.

The last pop-up was offering latest Galaxy and iPhones. The most recent website was offers.boormatic.com.

Cheers

When I load the site on a mobile device, I am frequently redirected to other pages with ads. This has only started in the last day or two.

Same happening here as before, except this time it seems to also occur (albeit slightly differently) over Wi-Fi. In the Wi-Fi case it keeps trying to redirect me to a .xyz site, mostly taking me to some rubbish download in the Apple App Store.

This ONLY happens on my iPhone - not my PC. It doesn't happen with any other site I visit either on 4G/Wi-Fi via Safari on the iPhone.

EDIT - here's the address it keeps redirecting to: http://adsfoundation.xyz/481/(loads of letters).

Apologies for any issues. Nothing has changed on BEA for a long while, so it sounds like there might be a rogue publisher on board one of BEA's ad providers & I will report the issue (only two ad providers). If it is a rogue advertiser, they will be removed from the publisher's roster.

In the meantime, I've Googled the boormatic domain and I've found a complaint from Australia regarding ads on the iPhone. Obviously, the difference here is that there's no BEA app but I think the underlying problem is the same.

For adsfoundation.xyz here's a useful post and Weblock seems to be tool mentioned that might prevent this happening

Looking at the issue to do with BEA, it seems to only affect mobile browsing (is the issue affecting iPhone/iPad Safari users only?) If this is purely an iOS issue, malware could also be an underlying cause of this.

Thank you for your efforts. The problem has gone, for the time being at least.

Hi Pa, sorry for the problem. If it happens again, please could you let me know which ad is causing the issue and which country you are connecting from as trying to isolate the names of particular advertisers so that they can be reported. Mobile ads seem to be the recurring theme here (originally thought it might just be iOS).
