It's pretty uneven, but dang does it have one of the most perfect openers I'be ever heard.

A superb album, though it's worth noting that his father, the massively underrated Tim Buckley, was the far superior artist.
In the following order of greatness, all five of the following albums by Tim Buckley, surpassed the much more well-known and popular Grace:
1. Lorca (one of the all time masterpieces of music)
2. Starsailor (not far behind)
3. Happy Sad (along with Van Morrison's Astral Weeks, and perhaps Robbie Basho, this dramatically increased the potential for vocals-driven folk music)
4. Goodbye and Hello
5. Blue Afternoon
That said, Grace is indeed an excellent album and certainly deserving of praise. The above 5 albums should be the next steps for any fan of Jeff Buckley. _________________ Best Classical

Was coming just to post something similar. "Mojo Pin" is among the ten best songs of the 90s. NO QUESTION.
Track picks
1. Mojo Pin
5. So Real
6. Hallelujah
10. Dream Brother _________________ Inversion Verses

The tittle track is also top notch. That last verse really is something.

The Legacy Edition 2nd disc contains some of the most unlistenable music ever made. Buckley's take on Big Star's "Kanga Roo" is long, monotonous and excruciating.
Stick with the single disc! _________________ I'm leaning on the threshold

Unique stuff on this for sure. He explored some really interesting stuff that I think a lot of bands ripped off.
