Are there any covers of Beatles songs u like better than the originals?
Here's a few I really like. And they're VERY surprising, I believe.
Dear Prudence. Siouxsie and the Banshees
Day Tripper. Type O Negative
We Can Work It Out. Chaka Khan
Across the Universe. David Bowie
Fool on the Hill. Sergio Mendez & Brazil 66 (I'm not joking)
Black Crows. Happiness is a Warm Gun
Ticket to ride. Bad Company
Got to Get You Into My Life. Earth Wind and Fire
A Hard Day's Night. The Supremes. ( its wild!)
Every Night. Phoebe Snow
Dont Let Me Down. Phoebe Snow
White Zombie. Helter Skelter
Pat Benatar. HelterSkelter
The Vines. Im Only Sleeping
You Wont See Me. Anne Murray

No. I'm sorry. I have to respectfully disagree on this one. I'm familiar with this. The Crowes played this song exactly one time. And one time only. It was at a San Francisco Fillmore show in 2005. They barely knew the song...the vocals were tired (it was an encore), and it was a struggle from the opening guitar riff to get the song right. They turned it into an 8 minute jam. There is nothing about their one off live version (recorded from the audience by a fan) that could be considered in any way superior or equal to what The Beatles did on The White Album...it doesn't even deserve to be mentioned in the same paragraph. The Crowes never recorded a studio version, and they never even played the song again. They did a lot of covers in their career. People came for the originals, and they got through the covers. _________________ I'm leaning on the threshold

The reason i say i like it better is because : u know how theres a tiny handful of Beatles songs that u just dont like much, but then someone else does it and u like it better? Well for me that's one of em. Lol. Other ones are Got to get u into my life, Helter Skelter, along with a couple more on White album. Also Across the Universe.
