What are some others like New Order, and fIREHOSE; most of the remaining members forming a new band under a different name?

But the singers of Rage Against The Machine and Evanesence didn't die, so I don't know if they qualify.

Manzarek-Krieger formed long, long after Jim Morrison's death, but this is sort of a post-Doors project.

and to stretch it a bit further, after Andrew Wood died, Mother Love Bone became Temple of the Dog, which became Pearl Jam. granted, Gossard and Ament are the only consistent members through that transition.

Rossington Collins Band. Formed by the four surviving members of Lynyrd Skynyrd after the plane crash that killed the other three members
