Talk about what songs you enjoy the most, whether it’s your all time favorites, your favorites from a certain artist, or any other possible way to talk about your favorite songs. Share opinions, have debates (civil ones, mind you), and just enjoy yourself!

When I was like 11 years old, I bought the single to Boys II Men's Thank You.

I blame the music video:

I’ve actually never listened to Boyz II Men before.

well maybe now you have with the video? hehe. Eh... pending on who you talk to, they are either one of the best R&B groups of the 90s (potentially past 30 years or so)... OR they are pop garbage. I suppose you get to decide.

These two charts I made of my favorite songs of all time. Actually it's the best singles of all time, but it pretty much matches up with my favorite songs of all time. It's amazing how accurately best songs and best singles often seem to match up. Of course there are great songs that were not singles, but that would be a different chart.

How does one make a favorite singles list?

First you find the album that it's on, and you put it in your chart. And then there's a space where you could put a note down below the album title, and you just write in the name of the song there. Just take a look at mine to see how I did it.

I had far too much difficulty just narrowing down to 100 just to make a favorite albums chart. No way I could do it with individual songs. There's just too many great ones.

Just for fun, I'll narrow the category and share what I've been listening to lately--lots of female vocalists who I don't necessarily want to listen to entire albums from, but who have individual songs I can't get enough of. Here's three of my recently discovered faves which I think will be with me for a long time:

Different Drum is definitely a stone classic. I need to make room for it in my Top 100 or 200. Definitely one of the great singles of all time. Written by Mike Nesmith of the Monkees too!! Petula Clark had a handful of classic singles also. She's awesome.
