There are only 8 artists on BEA that have had the number one album for a year more than once.
Of those 8 artists, who do you think is best?
(This is probably just gonna end up being Beatles vs Radiohead but who knows?)

Interesting question. That's quite the list of names really. Give Kendrick time, jeez not even another decade, and I think he may fair better in a poll like this and deserve to.

I went with Beatles simply because they are my favorite out of this list. But credit to the more recent artists, Kendrick, Radiohead, Arcade Fire, for doing what they're doing with a much larger and wide spread base of competition.

I think The Beatles and Radiohead have better discographies, but I'd say as far as talent goes and who is the"best", Pink Floyd. Pink Floyd in my opinion was a bit more talented, however had a little rough patch because of Syd leaving and had to find their mojo again. However, I consider them the "best" band of all time despite others like The Beatles or Radiohead having better and more consistent discographies.

Maybe not my personal favourite of the options, but importance-wise it's got to be Miles, and he doesn't even have as many number ones as he deserves. I'd don't think it would be unreasonable to say he should have AOTYs for '57, '58, and maybe even '70 in addition to '59 and '60.

Honestly, if it wasn't for Abbey Road, I'd give Miles 1969 with In A Silent Way as well. So many great records that year, but fuck is that record just beautiful.

Miles Davis in a landslide (artistically) ... but The Beatles or Radiohead will probably win

I agree but Roger Waters rocks more ๐Ÿ˜‰

Anyway, more than the poll, I find the fact, the 8 with more than one #1, interesting. Great bands/artists all of them.
