Basically, this is for the discussion of bands that in their whole discography have only one great/good album while the rest could range from okay-terrible
I'll mention some names
Oasis- I absolutely Love (What's The Story) Morning Glory. But everything else i've heard with the exception of some songs here and there are abysmal. Granted, this may change as i have not heard Definitely Maybe save for Supersonic so maybe that's a great record
Quiet Riot- Metal Health is a great album. Everything else is a bit of the same (Although the Randy Rhoads material was pretty great)
Warrant- Dirty, Rotten Filthy, Stinkin Rich is really the only consistently good album all the way through imo _________________ "I Wanna Take You To A Wasteland I Like To Call My Home"
Novos Baianos are a very extreme example of this - "Acabou Chorare" is terrific and there's hardly another good songs in the rest of their discography to my knowledge. _________________ It's easier to say "I love you," than "Yours, sincerely," I suppose

EDIT: I see you've already given it a 75. Now I'm confused.
I mean, it had a couple decent songs but nothing stood out to me much at all. A 75 to me is a "fairly good but not necessarily going to go back to it," I probably have highly inflated ratings compared to other people... _________________ It's easier to say "I love you," than "Yours, sincerely," I suppose

The Smithereens had one exceptional album with Especially for You.
I may be the only one who thinks this, but, I'll say Asia and the one truly outstanding album isn't their self-titled debut which is merely okay, but rather the recent XXX on which each and every cut is absolutely superb.
I love Steve Howe, but while he has many solo albums, only one is consistently good from end to end (again, this is undoubtedly a minority position) and that one great one is Turbulence.
In keeping with the nonstandard answer theme, I will add that Queensryche's one outstanding album is not Empire, but rather Operation: Mindcrime and Soundgarden's one great album is not Superunknown but rather Badmotorfinger.
And then there was Evanescence' first album. Ditto Boston. And Big Country. It seems a lot of groups are unable to duplicate the greatness if their debut albums.
The only listenable Kendrick album to me, this is great though
I can see why someone might consider this his only great album. But the only listenable album? Huh. I would think those who like this but not his TPAB / Untitled Unmastered sound could find something to appreciate, or at least something listenable in Section.80 or DAMN. _________________ Join us in the canon game :) / Add me on RYM
