That time is here! When the list makers get to show off their wares. Get out your pens, boys (& girl?)!
Let’s see what u got. First off, let’s do Hard Rock & Metal. The A.V. Club released their metal list today and it’s pretty killer.

I need to listen to that High on Fire album. I've never heard anything from them but they sound like a band I'd enjoy. My personal favorite meal all of the year was this one, a great mix of doom and sludge:

This one was! So I just threw it on & it's AMAZING!
I've listened to about four albums from the av club's list & they're all great so far. I had no idea that the av club knew their metal. lol.
What's your absolute favorite Metal album this year, Rocka? I'll throw that on next.

I seriously think YOB may be the best metal band of the last 20 years. Definitely in the short list.
High On Fire are awesome! Haven't heard their latest, but they never disappoint live.

Wayfarer- World's Blood, an OK to good American Black Metal from Colorado.
Hissing- Permanent Destitution, terrifying death metal
Tomb Mold- Manor of Infinite Forms, not quite as terrifying death metal (but still pretty terrifying)
I only recently really started trying to get into metal though.
I've got half of a chart started here that I'm pretty proud of so far.
