I prefer the “1987” running order

No. Title
1. "Still of the Night"
2. "Bad Boys"
3. "Give Me All Your Love"
4. "Looking for Love"
5. "Crying in the Rain"
6. "Is This Love"
7. "Straight for the Heart"
8. "Don't Turn Away"
9. "Children of the Night"
10. "Here I Go Again"
11. "You're Gonna Break My Heart Again"

It’s cheezy, but enjoyable.

I only heard this album once but I enjoyed it. Love the singles Here I Go Again and Is This Love?
80's hair metal at its finest.
1987 had a load of great albums
Good year for music.

Better than average hair metal, but still a horrible sellout compared to Whitesnake's best albums from the previous decade.

I saw them on this tour and the cheez-whiz flowed freely.

Which Whitesnake albums do you recommend?

I’ve only heard this one and “Slide It In”, which was equally thick with innuendo, but more AC/DC ish in its straight ahead production. I’ve also only recently discovered the Deep Purple album “Burn” with David Coverdale. For me, all of these albums are guilty of cheese, just different flavours of cheese, from different eras.

So, it takes a certain kind of acceptance of the cheese and the innuendo, for me to enjoy any of them. I’ve decided I like 1987, not in spite of the excessive 80’s production, sexual innuendo, and macho posturing, but because of it. It’s kind of a perfect example of what it is.
