For some reason this brings back memories of '09 (despite being released earlier), both a frequent headphone anthem during the stocking of storage crates during the night shift and walking around the drizzly, nocturnal streets of London. I think I'm going with Lloyd just because it works a bit better as a stone-alone entity and maybe Im just feeling a bit of a nice sugar rush coming on, but really wouldn't mind seeing either of these go far in the tourney.
I bloody love both, but going with Burial because this tournament is seriously beginning to lack textural variety, and hold tight my UKG massive. But honestly, I could listen to both all day long, and both mean the world to me. Along with Fatima Yamaha and maybe a couple of others, these are easily among the best tracks in this tournament not nominated by myself. _________________ 2021 in full effect. archangel was definitive of the time, of the genre, etc. easily one of the most influential tracks of the last twenty years. camura obscura is nice enough, but it doesn't "stir the loins" as they say. _________________ follow me on the bandcamp.
I've never been as big on Burial as some people here, but Archangel is a fantastic track and the best representation of 00s dark electronic that you'll find. That being said, Lloyd is the sweetest song you'll hear in this tournament. Impossible to choose, but I'll go with Camera Obscura cause it's a great single imo. Not much between them at all. _________________ Overall chart Fake overall chart
