French Navy is a beaut, but after Hey Lloyd earlier in this tournament it notably doesn't quite reach that level of effervescence, which is what I can also say about My Maudlin Career in comparison to Let's Get Out of This Country. I would still vote for it over many songs in this tournament, but B.O.B is an eternal flamethrower that still sets everything on fire nearly two decades later, so that.
I saw Camera Obscura twice this summer and they were the most fun. I get what Dihannse means though-they are a bit two-dimensional. French Navy is a really good song nonetheless. My favs of theirs are Honey in the sun (for gusto) and razzle, dazzle rose (for sweetness). When I saw them, the audience reactions to these two songs were crazy.
Yeah it's a good Camera Obscura song, but even the much superior Lloyd would have a hard time beating B.O.B. _________________ Overall chart Fake overall chart
Guess it's time for a fourth first-round matchup where my nominee's opponent is basically perfect and a loss is totally understandable. At least this time hip-hop would be on the winning side.
I consider Lloyd, I'm Ready To Be Heartbroken and French Navy to be more or less tied for their best track. Both are amazing, and like every single thing Camera Obscura has ever released, underrated. _________________ Join us in the canon game / Add me on RYM
