Need some of mine to get through but I really want Echolalia through. What I believe to be one of the greatest Aussie albums of the 2000s.
Actually, don't you mean, one of the greatest albums PERIOD
You have it at #2 on your chart
I've pushed it a little up because of Aus Music Month but definitely in my top 5 of all time. About 99.9% of the world's population would disagree but "opinions are like assholes, everyone's got one."
Yeah sorry harkan, I struggle to see what you see in Something For Kate at all. I've listened to 3 of their albums and they all bore me to absolute tears.
Echolalia Definitely. Actually, I had all but forgotten it. I dug it out this evening and re-listened to it with "fresh ears." It is quite good, isn't it? _________________ Speakers of the House DJ

Which 3?
My wife and about half of my close friends absolutely hate Paul Dempsey's voice because he either is monotonal or "sings like a robot." Not surprising, Dempsey had lyrics in the song "Hawaiian Robots":
I'm better off as a robot...
I think the sentimentality around the album for me is something that I hold onto when thinking of great albums. It was the first I bought with my own money and it was jsut near the end of high school for me when I really thought, "hey, I need to start listening to more music besides what's on the radio."

Okay from best to worst
1. Echolalia
2. Desert Lights
3. Beautiful Sharks

totally get this...it's probably why I still hold on to Coldplay and defend them so staunchly.
