Out of who you have heard sing our nation's song, who do you think has done the best job singing it? Because I have never heard Alison Krauss sing it before, I love to hear LeAnn Rimes sing it. Tanya Tucker is my next female favorite.
God bless you and my three favorite female singers always!!!
Holly (a girl who wonders if Alison has ever once even done the song before)
P.S. The following is my most favorite male performance of the song.

^^^ That right there is what I love about how the song is done in my included clip. It is so different compared to how the song is normally done. That is another reason why I wish that I could hear how it would be done if Alison Krauss were to sing it because when she sings a song that is already out there, her arrangement may not sound anything like the original rendition. Here is one of the many examples.
God bless you and the angel and the remaining members of her musical circle always!!!
Holly (a fan of her since 1994)
P.S. Maybe her opinion is no different than yours but that right there is what I'm trying to explain. If the lyrics can't be changed even if they are the problem, do whatever you can to give them a whole new delivery. _________________ Me & my favorite singer James Otto

Agreed with Skinny that the US national anthem is among the worse ones out there. National anthems tend to be... bad because they're obviously so overtly nationalistic. But the US's is a poem about a torn flag in battle? Really? That's what we chose?
Germany's has always been my favorite, though Russia and most of the former Soviet Union countries have some good ones.
All that said, Mickey Guyton was great opening the Super Bowl last night. Felt like a shorter interpretation which I appreciate. I didn't love her album last year, I thought the songwriting was bland even though the lyrics were pushing wonderful messages. But she's undeniably a great singer.
I don't think anything will ever top Fergie's unnecessary sensual rendition from the NBA all-star game a few years ago. Other than that I don't think I've ever felt any singing of the US national anthem to be memorable in any way. _________________ 51 Washington, D.C. albums!

ages. But she's undeniably a great singer.
To me, her back up was in the wrong key when she hit her high note, but she did an awesome job considering how nervous she sounded.
God bless you and Mickey always!!!

Oh, and one more version that I can't forget. The Sandi Patty version. I love how she sings an extra verse of the song that we usually never hear and her vocal is wonderful too!
Here's another great A Cappella version by En Vogue. They nailed the vocals, but it is sung in the dop-wop style, so it's probably a matter of if you like the doo-wop style of singing or not as to whether or not you'll like it.
