I've always found the debut to be far superior to this, but LZII is still an absolutely extraordinary album. "Whole Lotta Love" is such a great song that Thomas Newman decided to interject it between "On Broadway" in one of the best scenes in one of the best movies ever, American Beauty.

I love all of Led Zeppelin's first 6 albums, but this one's overrated, in my opinion. The Lemon Song, Thank You, and Ramble On are the best tracks.

Led Zeppelin are one of the pillars that the house of rock & roll rests on, and II is their greatest moment. II, III, & IV are all worthy of a place in the top 50 but II remains the greatest of them because there are no weak moments. IV has Battle of Evermore and III has That's the Way, both of them (relatively speaking) a bit of a bore. II is just some of the world's greatest rock & roll from start to finish.

Best tracks: Heartbreaker, Living Loving Maid, Ramble On.

I hate plain ole' meat and potatoes. I prefer something spicier, maybe a nice curry.

Which is why:

Houses of the Holy > Physical Graffiti > IV > III > I > Coda > II

I don't rank Presence because I've never been able to make my mind up about it. I mean, it kinda sucks, but it also has Achilles Last Stand on it, which is pretty much the best Led Zeppelin song ever...
