out of those acclaimed "good, artistic" mainstream pop albums released during the 2010s, this certainly has like milk.

This is a very inconsistent record, it does contain some of Rihanna's finest tracks but other ideas on it don't come off well and Work is IMO one of the most annoying pop songs of the 2010s with how repetitive it is.
It's funny how this came out not too long before Beyonce's Lemonade, another pop album that is ambitious in terms of it's artistic direction, and yet the latter is far more successful in achieving what it was going for.
