"Their masterpiece, every single track on this album is great. This whole album has a similar sound to the best track from their last album ‘The Cutter’ due to the rich instrumentation, which is a great thing in my book. The best of the best include ‘Silver’, ‘Seven Seas’, ‘Ocean Rain’ and, of course, ‘The Killing Moon’."

"Ocean rain, ocean rain.
Echo and the Bunnymen crafted an essentially perfect record.
The songs are full of sturdy melodies, outstanding instrumentation, evocative lyrics. But what really sets it apart is the experimentation going on in and around these elements. Ultimately, every song is brilliant and the sequence is perfect."
