Fun music, cryptic lyrics, unique voice = under-rated 80s band. Deserved greater widespread appreciation.

Apart from Mr Echo, all the dad's of the band members are men, however all their mothers are rabbits

As others have said, one of the finest & most underrated bands of the 80s. They were definitely a stronger act than U2, and Ian McCulloch had a wonderfully dramatic voice. Will Sergeant's guitar style is unique & always stimulating, and Lee Pattinson and Pete de Freitas made a really good rhythm section. Anything that Echo & The Bunnymen did in the 80s is A-OK with me.

Great band but i just don't get frustated with some crazy psychedelic lyrics... Oh well, thst's why White Rabbit exists!

Without Echo & The Bunnymen, it's hard to imagine The Arcade Fire existing. This band never got the respect they deserved. As Secondsoul said, they belong in the ranks of The Smiths, The Cure and R.E.M.

Definitely up there with The Smiths,The Cure and R.E.M. as one of the best 80s guitar bands
