I still don't know why Kind of Blue is rated so high compared to any other jazz record. There are so many charts like these that have Kind of Blue as the only jazz entry. If people like jazz, they would definitely do themselves a favour by discorvering further, as the world of jazz is much more than just Kind of Blue - even Miles Davis have better albums, in my opinion.

Mostly when I see Kind Of Blue, I think it's a noted classic jazz album and hence its addition in many charts. Personally, not in mine.

But imagine a chart packed with jazz albums entirely, except for Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band because it's a "classic rock album". I believe that many people just stay with Kind of Blue and don't discover the world of jazz further.

Agreed. In a Silent Way, for one, was a better record. So were Coltrane's Blue Train and Giant Steps (A Love Supreme, I believe, is just about on par with Kind of Blue). Then there is Mingus Ah Um, and Out to Lunch.

Seeing American Idiot in anyone's top 10 makes me want to vomit out of my mouth-hole.

Kind of a fun chart with personal flair and a smattering of classics. many albums here wouldn't ne in my list but that's the intrigue.

More than one Green Day record in top 10 is too much. "American Idiot" is soooo overrated, probably the worst Green Day record. Dookie, Nimrod, Warning and maybe even the last one of theirs are better records than that one.

American Idiot, apart from the song "Holiday" is pretty crap. Kerplunk is Green Day's best album I reckon..
