Yeah, though as Billy Joel's The Stranger did in a similar way six years later, the unprecedented radio airplay for the album forever lost just a bit of the magic on the record. But that doesn't keep it from being a masterpiece.

I think the best song is You've Got a Friend, which I think is miles ahead of the way more popular James Taylor cover.

I'm reminded of the radio play discussion on the Pink Floyd thread. I think if you're over 30, there's no reason to own this album, as you've probably heard most of these songs about 5,000 times over the course of your life. That said, I don't mind hearing them.
