This is a good one to test if everyone can ignore music quality and just judge the album cover. I'd like to think most on this site will value the La's music over Van Halen Live. But we're voting on album cover alone. I just thought Van Halen was clever on this one.

It would be an entirely different cover, however, if Van Halen was a Christian-rock band.

Vote Van Halen!

I voted for the La's because it is simply a nicer cover. It looks incredible in 12".

So Go The La's!

I vastly prefer Van Halen to The La's musically.

As for the album covers I'll go with The La's though.

Don't make too many assumptions.

I have not yet listened to The La's and I voted for it. Even with the grammatically incorrect apostrophe.

Is it because it reminds you of Disco volante?

Van Halen is great... I'm not really a fan of this particular album. I figured some might like Van Halen, but not Van Halen Live.

Now you may know something I don't here, but technically it does not have to be grammatically incorrect.

There are cases where plural forms end with an a instead of an s (as in Forum - Fora) and it could be the possessive form (as in: This album is The La's). As I said though, have no idea what they really mean with it.

In this case that is actually correct.. La is Liverpool slang for a guy or bloke. So in this case it actually means the album belonging to the La. So grammatically correct (although I always thought as there were four of them it should have been the Las')
