This chart is great for many reasons (Miles Davis to My Bloody Valentine? Nice) but the inclusion of Meatloaf is a definite stain. The lyrics and overproduction on that album are really beyond horrible and it should never be included in any list of best ever albums. But I guess every great list has its "pallate-cleansers" to turn a phrase from Wayne's World. I gave it a 95 and I have yet to give out a 100 to anyone's chart.

Thanks for the rating!

I always thought Meat Loaf was universally loved before I came on this site (and in Australia, it mostly is).
I can understand why it isn't for everyone, and I suppose it's one of those 'love it or hate it' albums.

Personally, I think the lyrics and the whole tone of the album is over-the-top bombast greatness, much like Queen. I absolutely love the ballads (For Crying Out Loud and Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad), and tracks don't get more ridiculous than the multi-part 'Paradise By The Dashboard Light'. So I guess it's just a matter of whether you see this is ridiculous and terrible, or ridiculous and great. Just look at the comments and wide range of ratings.
