As a pop tart I've always been drawn to those tracks that slap you in the face and bugger off before you get bored of them. However, just occasionally I don't want a track to end, especially if you're DJing and you want your last track to go on forever... so here's 5 of the best (mixes, 'hidden tracks' with 10 minutes of silence notwithstanding), anyone else care to share...?

1. FLOWERED UP - "Weekender" (12:59)
2. JOANNA NEWSOM - "Only Skin" (16:53)
3. UNDERWORLD - "Juanita/Kiteless/To Dream Of Love" (16:36)
4. PANDA BEAR - "Bros." (12:30)
5. LOU REED - "Street Hassle" (11:00)

And, as an extra, chuck in one that you don't think many people have heard of... so...

If I made a top 5, it would be extremely ridiculous, as all of the tracks would be related to Lou Reed. Yeah, you guessed it, it would contain Sister Ray and the four parts of Metal Machine Music Cool

More seriously, though, Desolation Row might knock off some part of Metal Machine Music. I really can't decide between the four parts. Oh well, maybe I'll just include the first part only.

Actual list (not counting jazz or classical):

1. Desolation Row - Bob Dylan
2. Sister Ray - The Velvet Underground
3. Metal Machine Part 1 - Lou Reed
4. 1. Satz: Ebene - Klaus Schulze
5. Miss Fortune - Faust (or) Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands - Bob Dylan

Runners up: Halleluhwah - Can, Shine on You Crazy Diamond - Pink Floyd, Krautrock - Faust, Moon in June - Soft Machine, A Saucerful of Secrets - Pink Floyd, Only Skin - Joanna Newsom, Frankie Teardrop - Suicide, Marquee Moon - Television, Hell's Angel's Cracker Factory - The Flaming Lips, Street Hassle - Lou Reed, Rapper's Delight - The Sugarhill Gang, The End - The Doors

A more challenging thread would be you favourite songs of 30+ minutes... Wink

I'll post mine when I have my music collection on me. Just on my phone right now.

Some time ago my list would be an all Pink Floyd one...
Echoes, Atom Heart Mother, Dogs, Shine On (1-5), and let's say.. Sheep.

All are still worthy contenders, but let's say I go with one per artist:

1. Pink Floyd - Echoes
2. Time - Za koji život treba da se rodim
3. Sigur Rós - Viðrar vel til loftárása
4. Television - Marquee Moon
5. Tool - Reflection

Other great ones (that are in my winamp media library): Sleep, Storm (both by Godspeed You! Black Emperor), Bel Air (Can), Anesthetize (Porcupine Tree), Starless, Moonchild (both by King Crimson), Emily (Joanna Newsom), Svefn-g-englar (Sigur Ros), We Will Fall (The Stooges) and let's say Cop Shoot Cop (Spiritualized)
