I remember when this album was released in 1982. It was an instant favorite among a number of my friends. When talking about IM, just TNOTB or its successor, the PoM, come to my mind first.

Am I crazy for thinking this is one of Iron Maiden's weakest albums? I fucking love the songs Number of the Beast, Run to the Hills, and Hallowed be Thy Name, but overall this album pales in comparison to Piece of Mind, Powerslave, and Seventh Son of a Seventh Son.

I'm not a big fan of Iron Maiden, but I enjoy this one... Look up heavy metal - you should get this.
