There's not much GY!BE about this. GY!BE's music is dark and apocalyptic, this is bright and uplifting.

A few years ago, I had a girlfriend from California named Tiffany. She was a Silicon/San Fernando Valley hybrid girl, who was simultaneously into computers and pop culture. She also was obsessed with Miley Cyrus, having over 300 of her songs on her iPod.

She got me into this album. Yeah ๐Ÿ˜•

I think they bite from Mogwai as much as they do from Godspeed.

This album definitely has its influences and is maybe not extremely original. However, one of my friends consider this to be a flawless album, and if he joined this site he'd place it in his top 10, I'm sure. He do admit that it's a little clichรฉ, and that other post-rock groups such as Sigur Rรณs, GY!BE, Slint and Talk Talk are more muscially interesting. But this album affects him. For him it's life affirming, and it affects him emotionally. It can save his day and give him zest for life. And when a band can manage to write an album which affects people in such ways, I think it transcends complaints about a lack of originality. Originality is great but overrated.
