"White Rabbit" and "Somebody to Love" really outshine the rest of the album. Interestingly, they were written by Grace Slick and her brother, respectively.

A genuine classic. Probably THE hippie album.

That's exactly what I'd say.

And Plastic Fantastic Lover is pretty groovy too.

Some great tracks, some less so. Of the records from '67 that probably get more credit than they deserve this is, at the very least, better than Forever Changes.

Whoa, dude.

I still only know Somebody to Love and White Rabbit especially well, and I seem to remember the rest being somewhat underwhelming. I s'pose it deserves another listen soon, though.

I love the album from the first second to the last one...She has funny cars, what a great opener of an album.
Today and Comin back to me are two beautiful, haunting songs. Embryonic Journey is Kaukonen's epic song.

I also like the four songs which were not included on the album but they are on the CD version as bonus tracks:
In the Morning, J.P.P. McStep B. Blues, Come Back Baby and the very Somebody-to-love-like Go to Her, another great Kantner/Slick song.

Embryonic Journey is my favourite on this one. I personally prefer Forever Changes over this.
