Not sure how I feel about the Led Zeppelin rip-off that is My Ashes though.

I may very well be wrong, but I feel like this was album of the day not that long ago. Maybe it seems more recent because I don't really see the appeal of this record.

Not one of their better albums. If you haven't heard of this band, a good place to start is In Absentia or Lightbulb Sun. Stupid Dream and Deadwing are also good.
