Wow, this is actually so cool.

I had no idea my chart was even eligible for being COTD. Really happy about this even if my chart isn't the greatest or most unique one out there.

Cool chart, yes. Don't know how good or bad Tokio Hotel in reality is, but it's nevertheless brave to put them on a chart. Also nice to see "All Things Must Pass" so high!

All Things Must Pass was my #1 for a long time before I relented and let OK Computer take its' rightful place.

Also, Tokio Hotel get way too much flack from pretty much everyone. Lot of talent in that band (Georg, the bassist, especially) and Zimmer 483 is a legitimate favourite of mine (it's not just on the list to be controversial or piss people off). Obviously, being a pop album, it's not overtly sophisticated, but I love some of the guitar work on it, even if it might be extremely simple to play (complexity isn't everything) and it flows perfectly from start to finish. The last four songs on the album are a great run of songs.

Ubers Ende der Welt is hardly the best song on the album but it functions really well as an opening track. It's one of the more outright "poppier" songs on Zimmer, though. "Wir sterben niemals aus" is probably the best cut off the album. It's quite obscure to people who don't know the band at all, though.

EDIT: Also, for checking out their stuff, I don't recommend the music videos as a source. Even as a fan of the band I'll be the first to say the music videos pretty much all suck. Kinda like how the one for "Ubers Ende der Welt" has the whole nod to the 1984 Apple ad in it, but it's still not a great video by any means.

I might check Tokio Hotel out at some point. I can't remember I've ever disliked them, but it's also a couple of years since I last time heard a song by them.

I very much agree with you that complexity isn't everything, sometimes less is more. Wink I actually think there are many pop albums that are underrated on this site due to the fact that it's pop (a bit ironic). Keep sticking to your favourites!
