  • Post subject: Movie/Album equivalents.

If a movie was an album, what album would it be? If an album was a movie, what movie would it be? Doesn't necessarily need to resemble the soundtrack at all.

Some that come to mind:

Lost in Translation = Loveless

Pulp Fiction = The Beatles (White Album)

Link

Mulholland Drive = The Drift

Link

Pan's Labyrinth = Insurgentes

Feel free to argue. In fact, I compel you to argue!

Pulp Fiction = The White Album? Madness! Gotta be something funkier, though Pulp Fiction's "silliness" and eclecticity (...I don't think that's a word...) are certainly there.

I'd do: Pulp Fiction = Paul's Boutique

That has got to be THE most insane parallelism I have ever heard.

@Jackwc: Yup, I'll concede that. Definitely feeling your choice. 🕺 White Album does have that pastiche element down though.
