Meh, it doesn't compare much to their best albums.

Definitely one of their weaker works but you have the almighty Achilles Last Stand. I also enjoy Nobody's Fault but Mine. _________________

Nobody's Fault But Mine is great. usually, I'd skip it, but when I'm in a great mood, I listen to a lot of Zep.

Yes it's true that it pales in comparison to most if not all that came before it, but it's still a very good album. Achilles Last Stand is an absolute masterpiece of a song. Also some very underrated Page riffs here, like Royal Orleans and Hots On For Nowhere. And obviously Nobody's Fault But Mine is another great song. One of those cases where the standard they set made it seem way worse than it really is. Was actually in my top 100 for a while.

Achilles Last Stand is one of the few Zeppelin songs i can still unequivocally enjoy. nice song. the rest isn't so good. even when i was into Zeppelin in high school, i always though the rest of this record was boring and the epitome of a burnt out, past-prime dinosaur rock album. and i haven't stop thinking that.
edit: which is strange, because this band still had some good tunes to offer. but i think i enjoyed In Through the Out Door way more than most people

I enjoy In Through the Out Door more than Presence. It's not as bad as people make it out to be. _________________

The opener is the obvious highlight, but the last track is great too. If you replace the worst tracks on PG with those two, you could have an awesome double album on the level of IV.

My least favorite of the Zep albums. The band were going through a lot of personal issues at the time and couldn't devote the time to this album they normally had in the past. And it showed in the music. A couple good songs and a bunch of incomplete filler. They probably should have worked on this a little longer but bands didn't do that back then.
