OK, I just need to know. What is it about Nirvana that people like? What makes Nevermind one of the greatest albums of all time?

I like them but I refuse to vote something that says "Rock on Cobain"

It doesn't have to be COBAIN. It can be Grohl if you want it. Dave Grohl was the best member in the band.

Dave Grohl was definitely not the best member in the band. Cobain was obviously the driving force of the band. I just don't like him as a person.

Neither do I. I say Dave Grohl is the best because he actually has decent song writing skills (as shown in Foo Fighters). But Cobain's lyrics can suck at times. Remember "Breed"? What were they thinking?
Cobain may have had the voice, but he wasn't a great guitar player, he was only OK. And Grohl can drum like nobody's business.

Grohl can also sing, and play multiple instruments. He practically owns the first Foo Fighters album.

Nirvana are very overrated. Had Kurt Cobain not died after In Utero the world would've forgotten about him. I've read the Kurt Cobain biography, his band was only the biggest in grunge in 1991. In 92, 93 and 94 it was all Pearl Jam that most people wanted. Nirvana weren't too bad though.

I'll take Pearl Jam over Nirvana any day.

I know I would and I haven't even heard Pearl Jam. I'll get to them once I finish Operation: Mindcrime.

But WHAT DO PEOPLE LIKE ABOUT NIRVANA?

That's dumb for you to decide before you even listen to them. Operation: Mindcrime is great.

That Kurt Cobain was an unwilling hero, had a tough childhood and wrote a song that was a teenage anthem. He also wrote a song where he didn't have a gun. and then a few years later he did. For most poeple, that's all they know and they think that qualifies him as a hero.
