Arcade Fire is my favorite indie band. And their hit album Funeral was an astounding masterpiece. But that does not mean their other albums are overlooked. These two albums will be pitted against each other in another BEA Brawl!
Not even close, The Suburbs all the way. I've never gotten the praise for Neon Bible, it has about 4 or 5 good tracks, but nothing as good as something on their other 2. It really drags on in the middle.
The 2 posters before me are wrong.... Neon Bible is the better of the 2.
As a matter of fact I rate it higher than Funeral. Their is nary an even average track here. I think it starts off with perhaps the worst song ... Then gets better and better. Love the dark almost gothic elements here on Neon Bible, love the clear Springsteen feel on many tracks, LOVE the big church organs in the songs, the songwriting lyrically ain't amazing. But that is true of the other 2 AF albums too. I think Funeral is perhaps the most cohesive, and was the most astoundingly original sounding coming out the gate. I think The Suburbs is bery nice, a bit sprawled out, and gets dragged too much at times. And I think Neon bible has the best songs and more great songs than either of their other 2.
Neon Bible (9.0)>Funeral (9.0) > The Suburbs (8.3) .
I am sooo fucking excited about their next album!

Remember, Neon Bible had one good song. Intervention.
Nope. Restudy my comment, see what I said there about Neon Bible having more great song, then at that point remember Neon Bible had many great song, "Intervention" included.
End of discussion. I am right. _________________ -Ryan
