Lots of rather neat indie pop tunes, aside for Sprawl II which is exceptional. I don't think this album is as focused as their other work, but I really like the nostalgic theme that runs throughout.
I remember when I first heard the album hearing, in the last song, "All the time that we wasted, I'd only waste it again. If I could have it back you know I would love to waste it again - waste it again and again and again"
really hit me. It made me rethink childhood as something that almost should, and always will be, wasted.

Pretty great, slightly behind Funeral, in my opinion, and currently in my top 30 of all time. _________________

Great album with some compelling songs and a powerful message. It's a little bit inconsistent and boring at times, but it has some of Arcade Fire's best songs. Especially Sprawl II, that song is so catchy. _________________

Better than Neon Bible, worse than Funeral. It's a pretty good album overall. A little too long, imo, but when it hits, it REALLY hits.
