Woah, tough match up, both of these are incredible albums.

I gotta go with Person Pitch though, it's just such an incredible album, it just feels like your swimming in this ocean of reverberated sound, it's truly an amazing experience.

You Forgot It In People, the opus of Canada's indie army. This album is a never-ending stream of different ideas. There are ambient tracks, dream pop tracks, post-rock influenced tracks, baroque pop tracks, it's an absolute melting pot of ideas. It's a really invigorating and easy to listen to album just because all these ideas are implemented so well and keep the album so fresh. Along with that, the songs themselves are absolutely fantastic. There isn't a single track on this album I'd consider anything less than great. There are the obvious masterpieces on the album like Lover's Spit and Anthems, but even the instrumentals are really well done and interesting on their own. On a song by song basis the album is astounding, but what's truly impressive is how well all the different ideas from the album mesh together. With so many ideas going into one album it'd be easy to come out with a disjointed mess of an album, but Broken Social Scene managed to put together one of the most cohesive albums I've ever heard with all those different ideas. It's great, and you should totally vote for it.

I like Person Pitch a LOT, but I've got a personal attachement to You Forgot it in People - it was a "game-changer" for me. One of the most "important" albums for my change in music taste by the end of the 2000s and responsible for me getting more into albums.

This one was the first song that got me hooked:

Then this one is in the similar vein:

love the vid too, i'm not sure whether it's official or not, but great.
Slightly different:

And another fantastic track:

How they manage to cram so many instruments together, yet make it seem so effortless is beyond me. If you listen to Shampoo Suicide for example, it may seem for a while that not much is going on, but then you listen closer, and there's just so much... It's all in the details.

Anyway, amazing album, shame for the tough draw, but I hope it makes it through.

Person pitch is better than any Animal collective album.

You forgot it in people is also better than any Animal Collective album.

That being said, Person pitch > You forgot it in people.

There's a little mediocre stuff on Person Pitch but I still prefer it to YFIIP.
