I think Zappa was also the most consistent moustache-wearer. He had pretty much the same facial hair throughout his career, even though his (head) haircut changed. Hell, he was working on that sweet 'stache as early as high school:
Nick Cave has gone back and forth with his typical moustache, handlebar, and clean shaven. Even Freddie Mercury was clean shaven early in his career (and Oates late in his career). _________________ 51 Washington, D.C. albums!
