Don't get me wrong, BEA is one of the greatest sites I've ever been on, but I could clearly do without the albums/artists suggestions. I don't really know anything about informatics, but if pages can appear faster without them, then I think such an option would be a good idea.
This would result in a much faster time for loading a new album, especially with slower computers.
Unfortunately, there's no easy way of removing the suggestions box. Picking from suggestions helps to ensure all of the albums on BEA can be cross-referenced, it helps to eliminate duplicates (multiple copies of the same album being added to the database), and (for year & decade charts) it also helps to show albums for the selected time period. If suggestions were removed and 'free-form' entries allowed, the site would be unmanageable. I take on board the issue with slower computers/networks, and I'll see what can be done to improve performance.
The only option I see is to make something similar to IMDb - where instead of the suggestions appearing as you type, you first type in the whole title, then press enter and get offered the list of titles

I agree as some people might spell an album wrong and there would be two different versions of one album...
