I've been thinking. Is it ever okay for music artists to attack each? Not with fists but more with words. Is it okay for them to slag each other off?

Like... they can't all be expected to like each others music. They can always give critism yet is there a point when it becomes too much? When is it not sporting and more likely attention seeking?

While some might want all the muscians and music artists to be a fellowship of idealistic souls, on the boat to some place where peace will reign and all that. Is such a thing really exiciting? Maybe it is great fun to have rivalries and feuds in popular music? I feel it would be very boring if they all agreed with each other.

Any ideas?

rivalries are fun. keeps bands in check. unfortunately, publicists and labels see it as opportunity now so I think a lot of band rivalries are fabricated or at least exaggerated for the purpose of getting cheap press.
